Blog EntryUse before end of DLUONov 12, '07 10:17 PM
for everyone
I used to think the Filipino word DULO was some sort of bastardization of DLUO (as in the print you see on food packaging that says "Use before end of DLUO"). Hey, it could have been right? After all, the English word boondocks came from 'bundok' right?

Haha. Anyway. Here's one more thing I don't really need to know...but wanted to find out about. We were making up acronym definitions for DLUO (when you're bored...you'll succumb to that too, you'll see!). Like...

Date Leftovers Upon Opening
Don't Leave Untouched Or (else!)
Ditch Leftovers Unless Odiferous
Dear Lord! Unsavory Odor!

Well, looked it up and it's actually a French phrase: Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale which simply means 'use before date'

Tralalalalala.....

Now I'm hungry!

Kristelly! Let's have lunch! :D
